Discs are divided in different categories: Putt & Approach, Mid-range Discs, Control/Fairway Drivers and Long Range Drivers. There are different kinds of discs for differing purposes in each category.
Long Distance Drivers
Long Distance Drivers were created to provide players with the maximum distance possible. Some Distance Driver models provide a straight line of flight, while others have the ability to travel to the left or right down the fairway. Some distance drivers are designed to cut through the wind, while other discs offer extra glide, providing additional distance for less powerful throwers.
Fairway / Control Drivers
Control Drivers work in both driving and approach situations. For many players, Fairway Drivers provide nearly the same distance as Distance Drivers, but with added control and accuracy. Newer players will find these discs easy to control.
Mid-range discs are Designed to provide accuracy and control for mid-range shots, approaches and short drives, Versatile discs that can perform a wide variety of shots.
Putt & Approach
Putt & Approach Discs are designed specifically for putting and making short controlled upshots. Putt and Approach discs come in a variety of models and plastics to accommodate each player’s unique putting style and grip preference.
